We started in 2001 to make special breeding groups. This breeding year 2007 we have many different successes. We have to sell now some complete breeding groups because we have more then hundred Diones. Slowly but steady more people become interested in the Elaphe Diones. We sell more and more to Denmark, Germany and Great Brittan. Most of the people are interested in the red, orange and the melanistic form All those Elaphe dione subspecimens are not a coloured breeding form. We think that the colouration is very nice and very special. Only three people in the world have these specimens and are breeding with them.

Special about the Diones is that these coloured specimens are more rare then for example the Oreocryptophis porphyraceus laticinta and Oreocryptophis porphyraceus vaillanti or the Rhynchophis Boulengeri. All of those specimens are also in our collection. See www.rareratsnakes.com.
We have had a big collection of Elaphe Diones, more then 100: Elaphe dione Altai, Elaphe dione Caucasus, Elaphe dione Chersky (many different groups and bloodlines), Elaphe dione China (different groups and bloodlines), Elaphe dione Korea and also the Elaphe dione Tenebrosa, Elaphe dione Nigrita, Elaphe dione Striped (different types).... But in 2007, Hamm and Houten we sold the most of our collection. We only keep the very special ones.
